In a Stormy Day Rajib Chowdhury

In Stock

This artwork is a telling comment on the present day scenario of terrified, politically disturbed world. This scenario impacts us all; financially, socially, politically, emotionally and physically. We see more destructive than constructive efforts. Human beings do anything and everything, good or bad - constructing a temple, mosque or a church or demolishing the same - in the name of god or religion. It is as if we are at war. And in this show of powerful, the most affected are the innocent souls, the children and the common people. They are the victims who lose their lives and identity.

Artist statement:
I’m not a political artist, but I cannot ignore the political world. When I read the newspaper or watch news on television, my mind is destroyed by the horrifying incidents reported. My works are the outcome of such things. The current scenario has forced me to paint what I do not like as I want people to have a glimpse of what we have done to our world. available as a limited edition of a unique print.
